There are some differences between scientific research and literature review in source ,purpose, basis and length.
Scientific research depends on original studies done by the author investigating specific topic. It is known as primary sources but literature review does not depend on original studies but it is considered as collected and analysed data from a previously published researches and articles, It is known as secondary sources .
The purpose of research is to make investigation about certain topic and present detailed description to the reader but review depends on analysing the recently published researches and reporting commonalities and conflicting between the topic results.
The basis of research is to be based on original studies and research but review should be based on other published researches in a specific topic.
Research length can range from 3000 to 6000 words but literature review range from 3000 to 5000 and can be shorter depending on the journal.
